I'll tell you what freedom is to me: No fear

IT'S OUR NATURE
Our capacity for connection, compassion, and empathy ties us together. We are social beings. Wired for survival, we have survived this world as a whole; however, this may be changing. Best explained by the fight or flight response we experience during times of danger; the same neurobiological reaction occurs when our relationship with others is jeopardized. Humans are collective by nature, yet western society continues to prioritize individual needs and achievement. For our health and coming generations, we must change society's culture-of-me by reaching out and supporting those who suffer most. By honouring our emotions and the emotions of those around us, we can begin to heal, close the divides and embrace the diversity of cultures and traditions rendering our world intriguing and beautiful all at once.

PLEASE REACH OUT
LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. Finally, we acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory.
This sacred gathering place provides us with an opportunity to engage in and demonstrate leadership on reconciliation. Thank you for your enthusiasm and commitment to join our team on the lands of Treaty 7 territory.
